Visits may include adjusting, body work, emotional release work, nutritional recommendations, referral to another specialist, exercise, bio.chemical balancing or whatever your body may need on the day.

Following is a list of techniques Dr. Jensen may utilize:

Functional Movement Screen (FMS)

Put simply, the FMS is a series of tests that assess movement patterns that are key to normal function. By screening these patterns, the FMS readily identifies functional limitations and asymmetries. These are issues that can distort body awareness allowing for compensation of other areas leading to pain, discomfort or disability.

Kinesio Taping

The Kinesio Taping Method is designed to facilitate the body's natural healing process while allowing support and stability to muscles and joints without restricting the body's range of motion. Kinesio Tape is used to:

  • Re-educate the neuromuscular system
  • Reduce pain
  • Enhance performance
  • Prevent injury
  • Promote improved circulation and healing

Graston Technique®

Graston is an innovative, patented form of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization that enables clinicians to effectively break down scar tissue and fascial restrictions. The technique utilizes specially designed stainless steel instruments to specifically detect and effectively treat areas exhibiting soft tissue fibrosis or chronic inflammation.

Myofascial Release

Myofascial release approach is a form of soft tissue therapy used to treat somatic dysfunction and resulting pain and restriction of motion. It is a treatment described by Andrew Taylor Still, founder of osteopathy/osteopathic medicine, and his early students, which uses continual palpatory feedback to achieve release of myofascial tissues. This is accomplished by relaxing contracted muscles, increasing circulation and lymphatic drainage, and stimulating the stretch reflex of muscles and overlying fascia

Sensory Motor Retraining

Sensorimotor training was developed by Dr. Vladimir Janda as part of a treatment approach to chronic musculoskeletal pain syndromes. He noted that many of these syndromes exhibited characteristic patterns of muscle imbalance, which were manifested with changes to the central nervous system motor programming. Janda emphasized the importance of proprioception in the rehabilitation process. In order to restore normal muscle firing patterns and reflexive stabilization, he developed a specific proprioceptive exercise progression for patients with chronic musculoskeletal pain. Sensorimotor training emphasizes postural control and progressive challenges to the sensorimotor system to restore normal motor programs in patients with chronic musculoskeletal pain. Patients progress through static, dynamic, and functional phases using simple rehabilitation tools such as balance boards, foam pads, and elastic bands. This paper will describe the scientific rationale for the program and describe the clinical progression of sensorimotor training.

Activator

The Activator Method Chiropractic Technique is a chiropractic treatment method and device created by Arlan Fuhr as an alternative to manual manipulation of the spine or extremity joints. The device is categorized as a mechanical force manual assisted (MFMA) instrument which is generally regarded as a softer chiropractic treatment technique.

Diversified

Diversified is characterized by a high velocity low amplitude thrust. Diversified is considered the most generic chiropractic manipulative technique and is differentiated from other techniques in that its objective is to restore proper movement and alignment of spine and joint dysfunction

Total Body Modification

Total body modification is an adjunctive chiropractic technique. Dr. Jensen performs a complete physiological exam that will help discover internal imbalances or blockages impairing your health. Simple corrections are done that reset the body's bio-computer to restore organ function, balance blood pressure, correct cardiac low back, stabilize sugar metabolism, improve water utilization, normalize hormonal cycles and strengthen immune responses to viruses, bacteria and parasites.

Neuro Emotional Technique (NET)

NET is a mind-body stress-reduction technique that uses a methodology of finding and removing neurological imbalances related to the physiology of unresolved stress. NET is a tool that helps improve mental and physical health.

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is a revolutionary treatment method that offers healing from physical and emotional pain and disease. Without the use of needles, this form of acupuncture uses the fingertips to stimulate energy points on the body. Developed by Gary Craig, this is an easily mastered technique that can be performed virtually anywhere. This treatment sprang from the idea that, "The cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body's energy system."

EFT works by tapping on acupressure meridians to release blockages. When these blockages are released, the problem feeling can be released and move through the body. The process starts with a beginning statement of what the problem feeling is and includes a complete acceptance and acknowledgement of the problem.

Reflexlocomotion

Reflexlocomotion is the technique for the treatment of physical and mental impairment in humans, discovered by Václav Vojta. Sometimes referred to as the Vojta Method.
Based on studies of treatments for spastic children for muscular disorders in the 1950's, a number of reflex points were identified which can be used to stimulate the human body to crawl and turn. By applying pressure to the appropriate reflex points the major muscle groups in the body are activated, breathing becomes regulated and mental activity increases.
